Main characteristics

My name is Tom is compatible with Early learning of foreign languages (ELFL), offering a foreign language to the first groups of Dutch primairy schools. The program is based on natural learning. In this view, learning is not a lineair process; children will learn the most when they can make their own choices, when they are challenged by a powerful learning enviroment, when they are independent and have an own responsibility for their work, but also: when they are ready.

The main characteristics of the methode are:

• Students learn through play.
• Students can work indepentently, but can also learn from each other.
• Students are challenged to learn actively.
• A rich learning enviroment is offered.
• The program is challenging and geared towards gaining experience.
